Author Spotlight | Suzanna C. de Baca

Join us LIVE and IN PERSON on Thursday, July 9th for an Author Spotlight featuring poet, Suzanna C. de Baca in conversation with Veronica Fowler.

Suzanna C. de Baca is a writer, poet, and artist whose work explores themes of transformation in both creative and business writing. A proud Latina and native Iowan, she is a member of the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative, and her poetry has appeared in a range of literary journals and anthologies. She is a recipient of the Derick Burleson Poetry Award and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

Her writing is informed by a career spanning business, media, and nonprofit leadership. In addition to her creative work, Suzanna is founder of Story Board Advisors and was previously the CEO of Business Publications Corp. in Des Moines. She lives in Huxley, Iowa.

Veronica Fowler is the Communications Director at the ACLU of Iowa, helping to market and publicize the mission and achievements of this worthy organization. She manages media relations and oversees their growing social and digital media presence in addition to coordinating the  creation of traditional print publications.

She is a freelance writer and editor, writing primarily for gardening and higher education while tackling an occasional book project.
